We had an amazingly successful volunteer day this past Saturday. First we worked on the garden at the CSC; we cleaned all the dead and dying plants, then tilled the soil with the dead plants so it can decompose during the winter and fill the soil with nutrients for the spring. We took more of these dead plants to the garden at the Eastern Campus, where we de-sodded a large patch of the garden for our strawberry patch. We then topped the patch with composted soil mixed with dead plants.
Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who came and helped!!
