The Blue Jay’s Perch: Community Garden at Eastern is applying for the JH Federal Credit Union’s annual t-shirt grant this spring! In hopes of spreading the knowledge of this exciting new endeavor that we are all undertaking, we would like to have t-shirts to distribute at the BJP Grand Opening on April 28th.
Unfortunately none of us on the BJP Garden Committee have an innate t-shirt designing talent. Thus, we are reaching out to our growing community of volunteers, blog followers, and interested admirers to help us create a design!
Other than the necessary inclusion of a Blue Jay, your design possibilities are endless. (Though be sure to follow the JHFCU specifications listed below).
The BJP T-shirt Design Contest will be held from now until February 28th (We know this is a very quick deadline. So if you have a really neat design and need a few extra days, please let us know ASAP). The BJP Committee will select the winning design by February 29th, and we will send this on as our submission to the JHFCU grant contest.
Please email your designs and any additional questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Good luck and thank you for your help! The BJP Garden Committee
The specific rules (set by the JHFCU grant contest) for the t-shirt specifications are as follows:
- The JHFCU logo will be on the back of every t-shirt. No other image may appear on the back of the shirt.
- Logo designs should be finalized and in the format of a high resolution .eps. If you are unsure of how to convert files to this format, please contact the Digital Media Center. Do not submit a customink.com design. They will accept .jpg, .gif, and .tif file formats for the Feb. 29th deadline. However, if selected by the committee, the logo will need to be converted to.eps by Monday, March 5th.
- Only 1 or 2 color designs for the front of the shirt will be accepted.
- The logo and/or message on the front must be in good taste and abide by the university’s Logo and Name Use policies as outlined in the Student Organizations Operations Guide (in short – do not distort the logo).
