Fall Harvest Party! Saturday Sept 29 1-3 PM

Hello gardeners and everyone else alike,

First of all, we would like to thank everyone who has helped make this first gardening season come off to such a great start! We recently conducted a survey of our gardeners, and received a lot of positive comments, as well as constructive feedback to help us in our future

Here are some inspirational highlights from our survey results:

  • “It is a sanctuary to retreat from the stresses of everyday life and do something productive and in line with my interests. It connects Hopkins to the rest of the Baltimore community in such a positive way and in such a calming environment.”
  • “Seeing the garden progress in the first year has been very impressive. Wei-ting Chen deserves an enormous amount of credit for her vision, hard work, and accomplishments.”
  • “I don’t get to work ALONGSIDE staff and faculty too often.”

After such a successful start to the first season, we would like to celebrate with a harvest party this Saturday, September 29 from 1-3 PM!

This is exciting event will feature a home beer brewing tutorial (from 1-2) by our own Steve Hulbert, followed by a seed saving demonstration by Wei-ting and Emily, as well a harvest potluck throughout the event. If you are so inclined to donate a little refreshment (welcome, but not required) or even some music (calling all guitar players, singers, and anyone else with a transportable instrument!) that would be a wonderful contribution.

Thank you all again for such a great first year and we hope to see you this Saturday!
