A bountiful garden!

We have had quite the first season in our little garden!

Garden produce

Most of the produce in this picture came from the communal rows at the Blue Jay’s Perch (the hard squash came from the sustainability garden at the Center for Social Concern). These produce were later taken to the Franciscan Center by members of CKJHU whose mission is to prevent waste and eliminate hunger. We have donated about 70 pounds of produce from the communal rows to CKJHU so far this year, and we look forward to doing even better next year!
